Scent of Spring Bouquet

Surprise a special friend with a bouquet of glorious color and fragrance. The spicy scent of white stock is complemented by the heady sweet fragrance of stargazer lilies, blooming two or three to a single stem. Purple iris adds a regal accent against a backdrop of lush green salal and our popular hobnail milk glass vase is clearly an adorable showcase.

Remove all foliage that will fall below the water line. Change water and recut stems every other day. As they open, you may gently pull off the pollen anthers to avoid pollen dust. Be careful not to get lily pollen on your clothing or linens. You may wish to place a protective mat under your bouquet to prevent pollen from falling on your furniture or carpet if you do not remove the anthers. Your stock may look a bit tired or shriveled upon arrival. Don’t despair! They’re healthy – just thirsty…they will rehydrate and perk up within 24 hours after you cut their stems. Don’t be afraid to cut! Your bouquet will look good with the different floral varieties in varying lengths.
