The white Asiatic lilies arrive in tight buds to bloom. Over the days ahead, lilies open into lovely, long-lasting blooms. Vibrant blue delphiniums, and we add some blue thistles for an equally elegant flower, complementing the lilies and our elegant vase.
Directions: All lilies arrive in tight buds. Please note that the multiple buds on each stem may not all bloom; this is a characteristic of the lily. If they do bloom, cut from the stem; as they begin to brown, as buds take energy from the large blooms. To advance quicker blooming, cut 1/3 inch at a 45-degree angle, change the water to lukewarm, add a teaspoon of sugar and place the bouquet in indirect sunlight. We recommend trimming the stems for the buds/blooms to be 3”- 5” above the vase. Change your water and trim stems 1/3 inch every 1-2 days. Display as you please, do not allow any foliage to be underwater. Lastly, as the lilies bloom, the stamens (brown or yellow color) in the center of the flower- REMOVE with a tissue over the sink and discard. If any pollen drops on the lilies- use a Q-tip and “dab”.
