Dwarf and topiary varieties grow slowly, with a maximum of 3 and 5 feet over years of growth.

Indoors, place it in a sunny, south- or west-facing window (indirect sun, but 6 hours of sun). Temperature: Keep temperatures between 60°F and 75°F. Protect the plant from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and sudden temperature drops. Outdoor temperatures below 50°F: bring indoors. Water thoroughly when the top 1 inch of soil feels dry. Never let the plant sit in standing water, as wet soil quickly leads to root rot. Mist the foliage frequently, especially during winter. Gently trim just the top with sharp cutters to maintain the round shape every 6 weeks.
