Be it in Vail or Aspen, Stowe or Salt Lake City, spending Christmas time in the mountains is an experience like no other – one we recreate with this vision of holiday happiness designed with red Freedom roses, white Asiatic lilies (with three to five flowers per stem), burgundy hypericum berries, green button mums, and wisps of fragrant cedar. The hand-painted ceramic vase handmade in the USA by Gail Pittman completes the mountain scene with a woodsy motif in red and white.

Remove all foliage that will fall below the water line. Remove the “guard petal” on each rose – this is the outermost petal left on to protect the bud during shipment. As the lilies open, you may gently pull off the pollen anthers to avoid pollen dust. Be careful not to get lily pollen on your clothing or linens. You may wish to place a protective mat under your bouquet to prevent pollen from falling on your furniture or carpet, if you do not remove the anthers. Change water and re-cut all stems every other day.
