Pussy willows are indeed a beautiful symbol of new beginnings and renewal. Their early appearance in early spring and delicate buds perfectly capture the season’s essence. Also, associated with abundance further adds to their symbolism. It’s interesting to learn about the cultural beliefs surrounding pussy willows and their potential to attract good fortune.  They are also lovely “dried” and fixed with Easter bouquets as well.

Cut at a 45-degree angle. ARRIVES in LONG STEMS! Cut to the height of your vase at various lengths. Remove the buds that are below the vaseline. Give your flowers fresh water every 1-2 days a must. Water is NOT to exceed two inches above the stem. Display as you please. Dry completely after displaying, fully cut one last time, and hang upside down for a week.  The buds will slowly shed. You may want to spray buds with hairspray to keep buds a bit longer.
